Monique Romero serves as CFO and FINOP of William Hood & Company. In this capacity Monique is responsible for all financial operations and accounting for the firm. Monique is also an Accountant at Accounting & Compliance International (ACI) and has been with the firm since 2018. She began her career in Manila, Philippines in the audit division of Ernst & Young and later spent four years in consulting division of Andersen Consulting. In 1996, she moved to the U.S. and became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. Since then, Monique has gained experience in various companies including a year as a hedge fund accountant at Citi Private Equity Services, and five years at the fund administration division of HSBC Bank U.S.A., N.A. She also spent a year as Controller at Enlace New York, an introducing broker. Monique has a bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Communication Arts from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. She holds Series 27 and Series 7 licenses.
