Kevin McGee
Kevin McGee is a Managing Director at William Hood & Company based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. McGee leads William Hood & Company’s Active Lifestyle practice. His primary emphasis is working with businesses and enthusiast brands in the sporting goods, outdoor recreation, sportsman, fitness, performance apparel and footwear verticals.
Mr. McGee joined William Hood & Company with close to 20 years of investment banking experience. His transaction experience includes advising on the sale of Northland Fishing Tackle to GSM Outdoors, a portfolio company of Platinum Equity, the sale of Troy Lee Designs to 2Ride Holdings, a portfolio company of Eurazeo, the sale of Allen Edmonds to Brentwood Associates, the sale of Battenfeld Technologies to Smith & Wesson, the sale of Bollé Brands from Vista Outdoor to A&M Capital, the sale of Bushnell to Vista Outdoor, the sale of CCM Hockey from Adidas to Birch Hill Equity Partners, the sale of Lew’s Fishing to BDT Capital Partners, the sale of Louisville Slugger to Wilson Sporting Goods, the sale of POC Sports from Black Diamond to Investcorp, among other transactions.
Prior to joining William Hood & Company, Mr. McGee spent nearly 10 years as a member of the Global Investment Banking team at Robert W. Baird. During his time at Baird, Mr. McGee focused on mergers & acquisitions (M&A), capital raises, recapitalizations and other financial advisory services for businesses in the Consumer industry. He was a senior member of Baird’s renowned and highly successful Enthusiast Brands practice. Prior to joining Baird, Mr. McGee was a member of Citi Capital Strategies for more than 10 years where he primarily focused on M&A advisory services to clients in a variety of industries. Mr. McGee received a BS in Finance from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
