When we founded William Hood & Company we set out to build a firm that genuinely cares about the industries we cover. An important component of our mission is giving back through the William Hood & Company Charitable Trust. Every year, William Hood & Company donates a portion of its revenue to established non-profit organizations that are aligned with our core values.
In 2017 we established a partnership with our cornerstone non-profit partner, Vitamin Angels. Vitamin Angels provides lifesaving vitamins to mothers and children at risk of malnutrition to create a healthier world. Vitamin Angels is spearheading a global effort to reduce newborn mortality rates by scaling up its prenatal multivitamin program to meet the needs of 50 million women annually by the year 2030. With an estimated 7,000 newborns dying daily per data released by UNICEF, Vitamin Angels is rallying support to address this pressing need. By increasing the distribution of prenatal multivitamins to existing and new field partners across its more than 1,200 field partners, the organization will support improved birth outcomes and save newborn lives on a global scale.
Every year William Hood & Company travels to Africa with Vitamin Angels founder Howard Schiffer and select business friends and clients to experience first-hand the impact the organization has on underdeveloped and challenged communities.
